Animais de orelhas perfeitamente curvas eram considerados sagrados pelo clã Rajput

Conhecer e amar a raça indiana Marwari é, para muitos, reingressar no reino mágico da infância, um mundo de castelos e heróis, intrigas e paixão, ações obscuras e cavalos míticos. Uma época em que rainhas cavalgavam como guerreiras, uma época em que os homens lutavam para viver e viviam para lutar nos campos de batalha e nunca entravam gentilmente naquela boa noite.

Montar um Marwari é ver o caminho através de um par de orelhas perfeitamente curvas, porta de entrada para o coração da herança espiritual e cerimonial da Índia. Seu status era incomparável, pois eram declarados divinos e superiores a todos os homens, inclusive os do sangue real. Consequentemente, apenas as famílias Rajput e a casta guerreira Kshatriyas tinham permissão para montar esses animais exaltados.

Hoje em dia, estes cavalos são bastante utilizados como cavalos dançarinos, populares em festivais e casamentos indianos. Os saltos sem a presença do cavaleiro são uma das figuras que compõe a apresentação, e teriam sido ensinados há muitos anos, quando o cavalo ainda era utilizado para a guerra.

Origem

Os cavalos Marwari são originários do nordeste da Índia, da região de Marwar, e eram considerados sagrados para o clã Rajput, responsáveis pelo aprimoramento racial desses animais. Trata-se de uma raça resistente ao ambiente desértico. O cavalo Marwari é descendente dos esplêndidos cavalos de guerra que serviram às famílias governantes e guerreiros da Índia feudal, por todo o país e desde o início da história daquele país.

O Marwari, como o símbolo mais potente dos reis guerreiros, sobreviveu ao abate em massa, à castração e à temerosa ignorância durante os tempos conturbados que antecederam a Independência e por várias décadas depois. É graças às famílias Rajput sobreviventes e amantes de cavalos de todas as comunidades que a resiliente e bela Marwari emergiu das sombras para um futuro promissor e promissor e fora da ameaça de extinção.

Morfologia

É predominante, em sua morfologia, características dos cavalos Mongóis e Árabes, os quais deram origem ao Marwari. O principal aspecto que os diferencia são as orelhas voltadas e o fato de elas conseguirem se movimentar quase 360 graus. O cavalo Marwari tem entre 14 e 17 palmos de altura, dependendo da sua origem topográfica. Nota-se do que os novos potros estão alcançando proporções maiores e mais amplas em virtude da nutrição sustentada e completa. Mas a média é provavelmente de 15 a 16 palmos.

O Marwari ode ser encontrado com pelagens de todas as cores. Seu corpo é poderosamente proporcionado, compacto e elegante, com ancas redondas e coxas e ombros musculosos, criando um bom cavalo de prazer. Sua tendência natural a se apresentar o tornaria particularmente adequado para o adestramento. Ele é um cavalo forte, corajoso e inegavelmente bonito que provou sua capacidade de se adaptar e prosperar na maioria das condições ambientais.

Sua história real e escassez devem garantir-lhe um status merecido na arena equestre internacional. O Marwari possui em suas capacidades algo tão extravagante quanto suas orelhas voltadas para fora. Uma quinta andadura, chamada revaal, consiste em um passo alongado, com um pouco de movimento vertical, e é extremamente suave e confortável para o cavaleiro.
